On The Issues

So, do issues matter to you, or do you simply vote for a candidate based on their party?

Actually, I think that question is not fair. Generally speaking, we organize ourselves into parties based on the views that we hold, so naturally we will usually vote one particular party...

With all that said, I thought it might be helpful to take 14 issues or so and put where the two presidential tickets stand...

These results are based on a survey that the candidates campaigns returned from a non-partisan group known as the Free Market Foundation.  You can learn more about the views of local candidates at freemarketvotersguide.com

Nice list. What are your sources?

It's also not as simple as just putting a plus or minus next to the issues you agree or disagree with, adding them up, and then voting for the guy with the most points.

Obama's greatest asset is his charisma, and I'm afraid it's going to carry him into the White House come January.
